Joana MOSI

Dessinateur, Scénariste portugais

Biographie de son site :

Joana Mosi (1994) is an awarded visual artist, author, and educator based in Lisbon. Born and raised close to the sea, she graduated in Painting (2017) from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and has a Masters in Film (2021), by Lisbon's Film School.
Besides creating and teaching comics, Joana has been working in several projects connected to visual narrative, literacy and education on an international level. Joana has a really hard time sitting still on one place for a long time, which is a problem when your job requires a lot of desk time, so Joana ends up travelling a lot (for work, of course.) During the past few years, Joana has been working on most of her projects on international art residencies, or investing her tiny budget to visit comics festivals worldwide, from Viborg, through Angouleme, past Helksinki and finally, Montréal.
While she's planning her next crazy endeavour, Joana stays fresh while teaching (and learning from) new generations of cartoonists at Lisbon's University of Fine Arts and, since 2020, at the Animation Workshop, in Denmark. Ah, and she's also a programmer of Indie Lisboa.
